The piece deals with themes of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale, The Little Mermaid. It explores body changes and the changing view of societies on women over centuries, symbolized by the half fish half human chimera. How did the wild beasts Odysseus met on his journeys turn into Disney’s cute Arielle, or Andersen’s voiceless creature?
